paper chase: tropical wedding and party invitations

After yesterday's post, I couldn't get enough tropical inspiration. Here's a round-up from around the web of some beautiful tropical-inspired invitations that would be great for a destination wedding, summer bridal shower, or milestone birthday party.

Tropical Hawaiian Invitation by Sincerely May via Not on the High Street

Obviously I'm loving the pink hibiscus flowers on this invitation by Sincerely May.

Tropical Wedding Invitation by Fluid Ink Letterpress on Etsy  |  Paper Chase Press via Happy Wedd

I love the letterpress details in the Etsy invitation on the left. The collection on the right was designed for a bride who designs beachwear for a living - how perfect is that?

How are you all doing this week? Today just so happens to be my 32nd birthday and the first official day of summer break. This weekend we visited a favorite brewery and food truck, visited Roanoke's new Mellow Mushroom, and went to see a Beatles tribute band perform in the park. Today I'll be celebrating my birthday with my Bible study, and tomorrow we're going line dancing! This summer, it's time to stop being jealous of other people's lives on Instagram and really get out there and live my own.

• This is my last real week of unstructured summer freedom - although I do plan to spend some time at my new school setting up my new classroom, I don't have any actual work meetings or appointments, and I've even got a Charlottesville day planned with my college fellowship sisters. I had this song on my head all weekend and couldn't figure out the title, but knew it had to be Jess Glynne - her powerhouse voice and slightly retro pop style are just unmistakable. Have a great week, y'all!
