summer/fall color: coral and peach in home decor

My obsession with peach and coral really knows no bounds.  There are ways to add these colors to every room of your house.  If you're completely attached to color, painting walls or investing in large upholstered pieces can make a huge statement.  If you're less certain that your love of peach and coral isn't just a fling, there are plenty of inexpensive, temporary and DIY ways to add these bright, happy colors to your home.

Liven up a white kitchen with stools painted a bright coral- this would be an ideal DIY project for a coral lover.  I love the pops of teal from the blue mason jars in the cabinet.

If coral kitchen furniture is too much of a commitment for you, these bud vases from Heath Ceramics would liven up a windowsill.

Coral and teal again in a traditional dining room.

Robin's egg blue walls and tan chairs are a great background for these coral striped curtains.  They are a great way to introduce coral to a room without a huge commitment.  Make your own striped curtains with this DIY painted curtain tutorial from Dear Lillie.

Coral lamps and throw pillows look so tasteful in a traditional setting.  Breathe has a DIY spray painted lamp tutorial that you can use with a thrift store lamp or to give new life to a lamp you already have.  You could even get fancy with this lace print trick from Lovely Undergrad.

I like the modern southwestern style of this room - the coral chairs fit right in.

Throw pillows and art are easy ways to add color to a neutral room.

The coral bed skirt, accent pillows and window shams make a huge difference in this feminine bedroom.  I love that upholstered headboard!

Replicate the look of these coral prints from Williams-Sonoma with free printables from The Graphics Fairy and thrifted frames for DIY coral illustration art.

Finally, I just had to include this little guy.  I wish a peach jackalope was appropriate for my home's decor.
