our williamsburg, virginia vacation - part 1

Hello everyone!  We are having a great time on our family vacation in Williamsburg, Virginia. I wanted to share a few of the lovely photos we've gotten so far at our resort and around the historic triangle of Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown before Tropical Storm Arthur heads our way...

Our resort is so perfect - much more modern and luxurious than the one we stayed in last year on our Tennessee trip.  The adult pool really does look like it belongs on a tropical island rather than the Eastern shore of Virginia!

Mr. Q took this shot on his morning bike ride through Yorktown

Yorktown beach at sunset - really beautiful with the schooner ships in the distance!

Another of Mr. Q's bike ride shots, I love this view of Colonial Williamsburg and can't wait to explore more of the town tomorrow.  We're also planning a visit to the Williamsburg Winery and hope to make our way over to Virginia Beach before we head home.

  1. Enjoy the rest of your trip! If it's open, stop in at the Carrot Tree Kitchen in historic Yorktown. Great food in a really cool area!

    1. Thank you! We got some rain from the hurricane last night that was so loud that it woke me up, but today started with sunshine and blue skies.
