My March Favorites

My March Favorites

1. Big Chewy bars - Quaker Chewy granola bars have been one of my lunchbox favorites since elementary school, but Quaker just introduced a larger version and they are even better, especially the peanut butter version!  Perfect for grown up sized hunger.

2. Traditional Medicinals teas - I recently caught a viral sinus infection that was going around, but I wasn't feeling sick enough to necessitate staying home from work.  Traditional Medicinals teas were life savers!  I've been using Throat Coat tea to get through scratchy throat days since I spotted it on singer Rufus Wainwright's grocery list while working in promotions in college, and Breathe Easy tea is really effective for clearing a stuffy nose.

3. Beautiful Day collection - Bath and Body Works has redesigned their Signature Collection packaging, and this spring scent's colorful new look caught my eye last time I was there.  I love the smell of apple but usually think of it as a fall scent - Beautiful Day makes it work for spring by pairing crisp green apple with peony and other floral scents.

4. Mossimo Juniors' Boyfriend Tee from Target - I hadn't given in to the tribal print trend but I like this tee because the gray and white color palette keeps it kind of subtle.  I like pairing it with a bright cardigan.

5. LOFT Curvy Straight Leg Jeans - "Curvy Straight Leg" sounds like an oxymoron, doesn't it?  I've been avoiding the skinny jeans trend as well but I was starting to feel like the only woman in the Roanoke Valley still wearing flares and boot cuts.  I was worrid that skinny jeans would make me look chunkier than I already am, or give me sausage legs, but the dark wash and curvy cut make these really slimming and the stretch denim makes them as comfortable as leggings. They are sized like GAP's 1969 jeans and the 30/10 fit is perfect for petite, curvy me.

6. lia sophia Jewelry - My friends and I are still obsessed with this line of jewelry, the opportunity to get together for girl time, and the great deals the company offers every month. Two of my recent acquisitions are the Lily Pad necklace and Taza bangle bracelet.

7. The Oscars celebrity selfie - I enjoyed Ellen's turn as host of the Academy Awards, and my favorite moment was definitely the selfie that broke Twitter.  The movie stars in the photo all look genuinely happy to share a spontaneous (or maybe not so spontaneous), fun moment on their big night.

  1. I currently have that super virus that is creating havoc in my sinuses. I need to get me some of that tea!! Sounds wonderful! That tribal print t-shirt is adorable too! I'm all about a good Target find. :)

    1. Oh no! Sorry to hear that you have the sinus crud and hope that it goes away soon. The Traditional Medicinals tea really does help! They have it at Kroger here and I think most bigger grocery chains carry it. I think I'm going back to Target to get that t-shirt in the other colors and patterns because it is so comfy.

Thanks again for hosting! I love seeing what everyone else links up.
